The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), established in 1963, is a prestigious business school offering master of business administration (international business) management program at its Delhi & Kolkata campus.
IIFT will conduct its written test in November 2017for admission to its MBA-IB programme.
IIFT Admission Test is a multiple choice objective type written test. The test consists of questions numbering from 135 to 120 focusing on the logic, reasoning, general awareness and quantitative ability to be done in two hours. Time management would have played an important role even though not specified on the question paper.
IIFT test analysisin general: Normally the IIFT test is a balanced and well structured test. Like the CAT (of pre-CBT-CAT variety), the IIFT test has maintained a continuity in the type of questions figuring on the test while pegging the level of difficulty above par.Negative marking has been included. Quantitative aptitude- 25marks, Logical aptitute-15(.75marks), Data Interpretation-19 questions, reading comprehension- 12questions, general aptitude-(0.5marks)
IIFT 2016 was again a no surprise package with decreased number of questions fromthe normal 135 focusing more on the verbal ability and RC, quantitative ability and general awareness section . Time management would have played an important role as, even though not specified on the question paper with 0.33 negative scoring for majority of sections.
On the whole, the IIFT test is a balanced test of both basic knowledge and test taking ability of a student.
