Common Management Admission Test or CMAT is national level MBA entrance exam conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) twice a year. It is a three hour test conducted in a single slot .

The CMAT score is accepted by all AICTE approved institutions/ Universities/Colleges. The CMAT 2017 was conducted on 28th January 2017.

CMAT TEST PATTERN:

There shall be negative marking for wrong answers, for each wrong answer 1 mark shall be deducted. Duration of exam will be 180 minutes.

CMAT 2017 ANALYSIS

The QA and DI section in CMAT 2017 comprised of 50% questions from Arithmetic and Number System and the rest from Geometry, Mensuration and Algebra. The difficulty level of this section was moderate . The Logical & Analytical Reasoning section comprised mostly of Verbal Reasoning. The difficulty level was moderate to easy. The Language Comprehension section was easy. The General Awareness section was similar to those of the previous CMAT Tests.

Like the previous CMATs, the cutoffs for top colleges will remain high.

There is no other option than ‘Practice’ because Practice makes man perfect. Although, CMAT is bit easier than other management aptitude tests, but practicing several hours of previous years papers will be a great help for you.

Ans. Graduates in any discipline or Final year students of Graduate Courses can apply for CMAT

NOTE: The eligibility criteria for admission to Management programs (Diploma and Post
Graduation) is as mentioned below
1. Management (PGDM, MBA and similar) : Recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 Yrs duration Obtained at least 50% (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying Examination

2. Management (PGCM) : Recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 Yrs duration

3. Management (Executive PGDM) : Any recognized Bachelors degree of minimum 3 years duration and a minimum of 5 years relevant managerial / supervisory experience.
                                                Obtained at least 50% (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying Examination

Qsn. Fee for CMAT test?

Ans. Rs. 1200 + Bank charges as applicable for General/OBC candidates. If you belong to the SC/ST/PD (Physically disabled) category then you need to pay a discounted fee of Rs. 600 + Bank charges as applicable
