Qsn. Who are Eligible:
Ans. 
  • Aged not above 25 yrs, as on April 1, 2013
  • Must be a graduate with 55% marks (any degree)
  • There are no relaxations in age or qualifications for SC/ST/OBC/PWD applicants
 
Qsn. Process of Selection:
Ans. There shall be on online aptitude test running for 2 hours in the following subject areas:  Logical & Reasoning, English language, Quantitative/Numerical ability & Computer Awareness.
 
Applications qualifying in this will be invited for personal interview (PI). The exam dates venew & time of test & PI will be informed to applicants by email.
 
Qsn. Training & Joining:
Ans. Candidates thus shortlisted should join undergo 9 month on-campus sessions at Manipal Banking Training Campus, Bangalore involving classroom lectures, seminars assignments, case studies etc., & 3 month intership at Axis bank branch.
 
No Bonds: The most important part to remember in this Axis bank young bankers program - No service bond. It means you need not sign any agreements promising to stay with the bank for pre-sepcified no. of years.

Axis Bank Young Bankers (ABYB) Programme is an endeavour by Axis Bank to nurture industry leaders of the future by imparting domain expertise and skill set in the field of Banking.

ABYB is a one year, full time residential programme which will be conducted at two training campuses, Manipal Global Education in Bangalore and Amity Global Business School in Noida.

Objectives

The objective of ABYB is to create a talent pool of Young Bankers by equipping graduates with necessary banking knowldge and skills.

Eligibility Criteria :

 

The eligibility criteria for applying for admission are:

 

Age: Age limit 25 years, born on or after 1st April, 1990

 

Qualification: Only graduates from any stream, with 55% and above in their FINAL year of graduation or aggregate of 55% and above in graduation

Selection Process :

The selection will be through a two stage selection process, which is aimed at selecting candidates who are most likely to succeed at various Branch banking roles offered by the Bank. The Bank is looking for candidates with high integrity, who are dedicated towards work, with positive attitude and good communication skills.

Candidates shall be selected by Axis Bank through a selection process consisting of an online Aptitude test followed by an interview.

Aptitude Test: The Aptitude test will be conducted online. The test duration will be of 2 hours (approximately). The test will assess the proficiency of candidates in the areas of below mentioned 4 modules:

Basic Instructions:

1. There are 4 modules in the Test.

2. Candidate will not be allowed to use a calculator or any other calculating device.

3. You have to complete all the modules. If you exit the test in between, you will not be provided with a score. There is no negative marking hence you can attempt as many number of questions as you want.

4. Each module has a fixed number of questions that need to be attempted in the allotted time. During the test, you will be able to see the 'remaining time' of the test on the top right corner of the screen.

5. The time allotted for each module is exclusive to that module only; the time will not carry forward to the next module. We request you to kindly keep the track of module time throughout the test.

6. You cannot come back and review the question once you have answered the question.

7. On the screen, you will see a question or multiple questions with options. Each question has only one correct answer. You have to choose the correct answer from the options provided. For question types other than multiple choice questions, module specific instructions will be provided at the start of the module.

Bank reserves the right to hold a second stage of Aptitude test (if required) at its own discretion

Personal Interview: All the applicants who successfully clear the Aptitude test will be invited for a

Personal Interview.

Candidates will be informed of their progress and status at each stage by email and SMS.

Please do note that Axis Bank's decision pertaining to the selection will be final and binding.

Guidelines for Personal Interview:

Before the Interview

1. Find out exactly what the academic program is all about and what the role of a Customer Service Officer (CSO) involve.

2. Prepare a good and impressive resume. Seek help of people in your network to polish it.

3. Write down about your interests and achievements (in or out of work) that are related to this job. Highlight your accomplishments.

4. Think about questions you may be asked about, eg

4.1 Why do you want to apply for this program?

4.2 What do you think is the role of an 'Customer Service Officer (CSO)’?

5. Be well dressed and well groomed. Dress up in formals.

6. Aim to arrive on time, even early for the interview and in the right place.

7. The interview panel will consist of Axis bank officials .You will be asked a series of questions related to your profile and the role to offer by the panel.

8. LISTEN to the questions you are asked and answer them clearly and directly.

9. If you do not hear or understand a question properly, ask the interviewer to repeat or rephrase it. It is fine to ask for a moment to think before you answer.

10. Be open and say why you are the best person for the program. Present yourself in the best possible way you can. Be honest.

11. Remember to ask any questions that you have.

1. Self attested photocopy of the Graduation degree/ Mark sheet indicating 'Pass' , an identity proof and duly filled job application form ( will be sent to shortlisted candidates) should be kept ready for submission at the time of Personal Interview.

2. The candidates will have to appear for the Online Aptitude Test and Personal Interview at their own expense

 

Role Details and Career Prospects

Certification

A Postgraduate Diploma in Banking Services (PGDBS) will be conferred on a participant on his / her successful completion of the programme. However, for award of the postgraduate diploma, a participant has to fulfil the following requirements: 

·         He/ She should have taken and passed in each course of study as prescribed in the curriculum to earn the minimum number of credits specified for that particular course.

·         He/ She would become eligible for the award of a diploma on acquiring requisite number of credits at the end of the program.

·         He/ She should have satisfactorily fulfilled other academic requirements (as specified in the course of study/ curriculum) like practical training, work visits, seminar, project etc.

 

Students will appear for certain banking certification examinations such as NISM, as a part of the academic program. The exam fee will be borne by the students themselves and will be reimbursed to those who successfully complete the exam, on joining the Bank.

·         Conducts outbound marketing calls and scouts for new leads and referrals to generate business

·         Responsible for sales of third-party products (Life Insurance - LI, General Insurance - GI, Mutual Funds - MF, Debit/ Credit Cards, etc. to the existing customer base
