The Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) is a compulsory common test for admission to all post graduate courses of Symbiosis International (deemed) university, such as Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resources Development (SCHRD), Symbiosis Institute of Telecom Management (SITM) and a host of others under the umbrella of Symbiosis Group.
The test passing being mandatory for all the Symbiosis Institutes, individual institutes have their distinct admission criteria which also have to be satisfied for entry to the course taught for.
SNAP analysis: SNAP is an objective type test with multiple choice questions. The test is divided into four sections, with about 135-150 total questions, namely on Analytical & Logical reasoning, Data Interpretation and Sufficiency, Quantitative ability,Current Affairs and General English. Since 2008, the 135 questions in 3 sections carried a mark per question whereas the 4th section carried two marks per question thus the paper totaling for 180 marks. Wrong answers were penalised with a negative one-quarter mark.
The SNAP 2017 was conducted on 17th December 2017 and result declared on 28th Dec 2017. The paper was lengthier and Quants difficult as felt by the test takers. SNAP went online for the first time this year .
